It takes years of work before mastering the subtleties of the whimsical watercolor medium. Indeed, water is a third actor between the paper and the painter’s hand. We are working (One has to work) with a calligraphic brush in (order to master) watercolor as opposed to brush strokes for oil and acrylic. I started to draw live model with charcoal in different workshops when I was living in Montreal in the 80’s.
That is where I learned a lot just by watching other artists works. I subsequently drew live model throughout my career. These years I use favorite medium in these drawing sessions. (I attend these sessions with my favorite medium).
