Commercial art

CLIENT: LES ÉDITIONS DE L’HOMME
An illustration for a particular client is very different than a free creation. We must set aside a portion of our imagination to put ourself in the customer’s head. I illustrated a book for the writer Alain Stanke which, fortunately, understands the work of an illustrator since he is himself an artist and sculptor. It is always easier to work with someone who knows the degree of difficulty inherent to the work of a commercial illustrator. Below are the illustrations of «Complètement livre», published by Éditions de l’Homme. To see the complete series, follow this link: Complete series of illustrations for Alain Stanké.

CLIENT: ADVERTISING AGENCY
Here are some illustrations of a mascot made for an advertising agency. Production deadlines are very tight in advertising and for this specific project, twenty illustrations were required in 2 days. Although it may be hard to complete the work in such a short lapse of time, advertising agencies generally provide good reference photographs to the artist, which allows him to have an adequate visual material to carry out its work.

CLIENT: OFFICE DE LA LANGUE FRANÇAISE
Here are some illustrations for an audio-visual presentation of the OLF. Intended to be used for a game, the cartoons were paired with the definitions and the participants had to decide if it was true or false. It was presented on a large format screen.
